- 70,000 passengers affected by Qantas employee strike action so far
- 7 planes grounded due to strike action
- He took an 30% pay cut in 2009, 20% pay cut in 2010 and 9% cut on what he was actually paid last year.
- only airline to do heavy maintenance on-shore! 90% of that work is done here.
- believes Unions are trying to secure inflexible work practices which are 20 years out of date.
