whilst the correction of the past fortnight is by nowhere near the falls in 1987 in % terms, it certainly would be up there in $$$ terms.
today alone $40 billion was wiped off the value of the australian stockmarket. over the past fortnight it would be far in excess of $100 billion.
serious $$ in anyones language.
