none of that even mentions his history in mineral sands which i think was were he made his first fortune, or the mining truck tyres he invented and commercialised - which has been highlightd on this thread before.

Nice position to be in when you can leave stuff off your CV that would be someone else's proudest lifetime acheivement - i'm certainly not coming close to it, though i do make a sensational pad thai.

As for the hippies comment, it wasnt really what i wanted to say in the first place. i've been sick and dosed up on codral and not thinking straight. i doubt anyone's used that phrase in about 15 years, and there's plenty of areas and companies i dont invest in because of my social attitude to the sector or company.

what i should have said is that CNM arent engineering wonks with a good idea but no business acumen (no offence to said engineering wonks!) But CNM have already proven that many times over already so this ramble is probably my most redundant of the year. Someone hand me a trophy.
