Sales professionals (I believe UNS now have some) develop a "close plan" and should know EXACTLY who approves and when, and ensure that they have engaged with all the links in the chain - large deals typically go through management hierarchy and maybe committee and end with CEO, OO, or board for approval - depending on the value or other items spelled out by the company procurement policy. So this apparent vagueness about the timing of the contract signing worries me.
Or is AS (as others have said) keeping the market interested with optimistic dates, so we launch from a decent price.
Strategic genius or imcompetent... I don't know...but he makes me nervous
