The many faceless drones in the WA Labour party locked her out of the leadership after Allan Carpenter was deposed, and they installed "what 'is name" ( I have remembered now......Mc Gowan), and Burnett who was going to retire was called back to lead the Libs. The Libs won easily!
If Alannah had been given the leadership, I believe Labour would have prevailed, because many people on both sides admired her directness, ability and tenacity to "get things done" on budget and on time. What a waste of talent. She has been lost in a sea of underachievers in Canberra. Is Alannah perfect...... no, not by a long shot (for one, I don't agree with her asylum seeker stance), but she would excel at running this state....in my opinion!
Mc Gowan, who I'm sure is a "nice bloke", simply has not got the ability to lead.
