On Friday (USA Market hours) a report was released that the US consumers are now, on average, 9.2% delinquent 60+ days on non-secured car an credit card payments.
As we are entering a difficult phase in our respective economies, it is worth bringing in to the dialouge that the consumer for all purchaed goods (EV included) are facing headwinds. This will obviously have an impact on EV car sales. And, this is for existing loans. Not new loans rated at highet interest financing, hense, a potenial slowdown in new financing for new purchases.
Its important these days to take a marco look at our respe tive economies and see this may be a 3-5 year issue. I point out the 15+ % intetest rates imposed by President Reagans chief economist, Paul Volker. Timing 1981-1985.
