There are many well meaning people who believe in man made global warming. Perhaps they are right, perhaps they are wrong. Each of us can make up their own mind and decide their own position.
There were many well meaning people who believed in communism and national socialism. It turns out with the benefit of hindsight that they were wrong but at the time they believed in their cause so much that they thought they couldn't be wrong, the government was on their side.
In all cases it is wrong to teach children the beliefs of the authorities as facts and utilise them as soldiers in the cause. To do so is to take advantage of the developing mind and trust in the teacher. To utilise that trust for ones own purpose is child abuse.
Children should be taught, in an unbiased way, how to analyse data and argument and come to a logical conclusion. They should not be co opted into any one elses belief system no matter how vehemently the teacher believes in their opinion.
