Pibroch, I have no problem with science being taught, most people don't.
This opens a loophole which child exploiters attempt to utilise to enrol children as spreaders of ideological positions. Communists, National Socialists, Alarmists and religous fundalmentalists believe that their beliefs are facts. They are not they are beliefs.
All these groups had governments on their side and lots of 'consensus '. That doesn't make their beliefs or theories scientific fact.
The situation is worsened when children have a theory which is presented as fact linked to good and evil value judgements. Jews were scientifically proven to be evil, capatalists were child killers, industialists are killing the planet.
Man made global warming endangering the planet is not a fact it is a theory. Even the IPCC gives it a probability weighting. Yet young children are being shown scary movies. Goebels used a film called the Eternal Jew, Al Gore used An Inconvenient Truth. Neither have a place in schools.
