Nice thread bacci, agreed. In sticking with the theme in which is was intended, this is precisely what Galileo was subject to. Anyone who still does not know this infamous blight on humanity enforced by the church should look it up. But history is repeated too often.
Not suggesting it is the case, and awareness of the environmental science has been part of the curriculum for eons. No need to change it.
I suggest this is the point of Bob Carter also. As scientists, you cannot be prior influenced by prior expectation.
Any system of belief forced onto people is wrong. Like a " little bit pregnant", this method taken to the extreme is propaganda and indoctrination. The best way to think outside the box is to not put yourself in one to start with.
