Apparently you do need to do more research!
Under the terms and conditions of an Exploration Licence, you can get a permit to trial mine 500 tons. You could do that by hand, and get it ashore with a wheel barrow, if it wasn't for the soft, muddy salt lake. In order to convert to a mining lease, a JORC resource is required. Easily done with an RC rig on the island, but no causeway as yet, so no RC rig access. These protruding quartz reefs are low hanging fruit that are only being delayed from mining by the terrain. I have no doubt they will be mined in the future. The old announcements have maps and photos of these reefs, you can look it up if you can be bothered. I suspect more research may assist you in gaining facts, however I'm not too sure it would improve your understanding, as that may require further education.
