Rents are so high in Australia true to yields as house prices are so high.

Let’s just say we cut house prices in half then rents would only need to be half plus the fact that many more renters could then afford to buy their own house.

You are only defending negative gearing and cgt I suspect because you hood multiple properties and worried they may fall in price, I don’t think you really care about anyone but yourself and your house prices.

I’ve worked on farms as a labourer when I was young and I’m Australian, the real reason why it’s full of migrants is because it unskilled work and the farmers pay peanuts to do it.

The only way to change the situation is either cut the demand or increase the supply everything else is just a smokescreen.
House prices and rents are a product of demand it is that simple. The hard part is increasing the supply where people want to live
