Its just another snout in the trough for the blood testers.
As far as I am aware most testing in the lab is highly automated and the cost of testing for most things does not rise much with increasing test numbers.
Forgive me if that is not correct. Its a number of years since I worked in a lab.
Please don't skip the test, its more accurate than the finger up the you know what.
Even though that cancer has better treatment now it is still a big life changer for many.

Next step might be like nuclear energy and make it so we can not talk about it.
Stupid government policies.
