This is screening.
You have screening tests to pick up early signs of something. before you have symptoms or signs.
So , if you have any urinary symptoms , then the test is covered because it isn't screening. If you have a strong family history , the test is covered .

Now , the only point in screening is when it makes you healthier, and or, live longer .
Screening outside the guidelines is not only a waste of money , but the false positives are bad for you .
The unnecessary treatment and further investigations are potentially bad for you.
ie having the Asymptomatic screening , may pick a few more cancers , but if it picks up a mild one which wasn't going to kill you before you died of something else , you risk having a prostate out , being impotent and incontinent for no good reason.
It all comes down to the numbers.

On the women vs men debate , and breast screening , there is reason for the sad male grumpies to feel hard done by.
But the sad little incels are grumpy for the wrong reasons.
There seems little evidence that 40 to 50 year old breast ASYMPTOMATIC screening mammograms in women without a genetic predisposition is worthwhile.
Now , the solution is not to even things up by having a cost [ and health] ineffective test for males , but to skip the cost ineffective test in females.

But , hey , if you have no prostate symptoms but you feel really aggrieved , have the test .
All you are risking is you entering a medical cascade which ends with you unnecessarily wearing a nappy ,
