Labor has a movement culture , solidarity being its core.Always hear "for the good of the party" and similar comments.
It requires extreme provocation to challenge popular party lines with accusations of traitorous behavior leveled at those brave enough to break rank and have an opinion. Seems Albanese is a friend to Rudd and Gillard so hence the soft landing at this precarious time. Seems more like a religion/movement and not healthy. This is why we see so many tears and blubbering moments because there is a lot of emotional attachment to the cause.
