My daughter is working as a disability support worker on a gap year from uni and earned in excess of $70 an hour on the weekend, to look after a child with autism who she took trampolining and to the beach.
Both parents work.
My daughter although pretty cluey, has no formal training in support services and has not has received any formal training since getting her job with the provider.
The NDIS has morphed into a money devouring monster, but my daughter also likes it!.
