It wouldn't matter who ran a war against the Pashtun Taliban, Sailorgirl, or what weapons were used (other than nuclear) no one will ever win a war against the Afghans. All of whom have tried - from the Mongols, the Sikh's, the British (Churchhill was there), the Russian's and now the American coalitian forces, all have failed. You would have to understand the people, the culture and the terrain to understand why.
