Again the defenders come to the fore. previous governments, both Liberal and Labor have cut funding to education and the health care systems. As an example, the NSW Liberal government employed Regional skills Brokers across the state at the start of the Covid epidemic. These brokers were people that were employed for knowledge of their regions and where employment opportunities existed. People who had lost their jobs due to Covid were given access to fee free training to either upskill or change industries. This was a hugely successful program with measurable outcomes for the Governments funds. The new Chris Minns government delivered their first budget and that funding was cut to ZERO and the Skills brokers were made redundant.
Again I never mentioned in previous posts anything about the education system in general.
I am simple stating that this government made a decision with no plan to get from A to B
And when there is no plan the only way that nursing homes can be compliant is to try to entice RNs away from existing Health Care facilities that are already struggling to get and retain skilled staff.
