I used to work adjacent to the Maritime Seamans Union building beneath the Harbour Bridge.
The union was Communist run and lead by Elliot Elliott, an avowed Commo. He and his Commo offsider were both dictatorial Commos in the vein of union leaders of the day and I had personal experience listening to their aggressive, anti-government, anti-employer diatribes.
They also subscribed to Il Globo and other rags from Communist countries.
