As Opposition leader, Albo frequently bemoaned Scomo's unambiguous approach to China. So here's Albo yesterday in Singapore:
This is Albo's version of a softly-softly approach, reported as a 'veiled warning', which must have Penny Wong tearing her hair out.
Whatever, the moral of the story is there is no nuanced way of dealing with bullies. One either capitulates to them or calls them out, the sooner the better.
Scomo's approach was right, as is Albo's, whatever the method employed.
