Anyone bother to look at her record? You know "runs on the board". You perpetually outraged right wingers need to look thru your red rage fog and assess people on their performance and credibility.

Mostyn joined telecommunications company Optus in 1996 after leaving Paul Keating's office.[5] As the company's director of government and corporate affairs, she was named "one of the most powerful women in the information technology industry" in 1998 by the Australian Financial Review.[8] In the same year, Mostyn was recruited to join Cable & Wireless plc in London as global head of human resources.[5] In 2000, she returned to Optus as director of human resources and corporate development. She moved to Insurance Australia Group in 2002 as group executive of culture and reputation.[9] She left IAG in 2008.[10]

In 2005, Mostyn was appointed to the AFL Commission as its first female member. She served as a commissioner until 2016 and was a key figure in the development of the Australian Football League's Respect and Responsibility Policy, as well as an advocate for the creation of the AFL Women's competition.[11] From 2017, she directed the Sydney Swans for six seasons. She continues to support the community work done by the GO Foundation, established and run by former footballers Adam Goodes and Michael O'Loughlin.[12]

In 2010, Mostyn was appointed as a director of Transurban.[13] Also that year, she was appointed non-executive director of Citibank Australia,[10] and in 2015 she was appointed chair[14] of Citi Australia's consumer bank.[a][16]

In 2021 she was on the board of Mirvac, and was named by the Australian Financial Review as Australia's "most influential" company director, serving on boards with a combined market capitalisation of over $480 billion.[17]

Mostyn has previously served on the boards of Transurban, Virgin Australia, the Diversity Council of Australia,[18] Reconciliation Australia, Beyond Blue, the Australia Council for the Arts, and the National Mental Health Commission.[7][19]

As of April 2024 she is on the boards of property company Mirvac, and chairs the boards of Aware Super, the Foundation of Young Australians, Australia's National Research Organisation for Women's Safety, and the Centre for Policy Development.[18]
