I don't expect either the red or blue team to do anything about why Australia is experiencing a global issue more significantly than other countries. Prior to COVID we were ranked 3rd in Housing Bubble risk.... then house prices went up by another 20%.
We are in the biggest housing bubble on the planet and now cannot handle a normal average interest rate of 4%. That is the root cause of our cost of living issues and why we are feeling what is happening to the rest of the world with the same financial systems more acutely. Something neither red or blue will touch with a barge pole.
It began when Howard cut CGT on housing decades ago. To be blaming it on the PM of the day of any stripe is patently absurd. Albo has no answers to it, neither does Dutton...... what are yours ?
