This weekends rallies which he allowed to proceed despite massive disruption to business and transport in Melbourne and Sydney will be his plank for strong arming Bibi. No sooner than the rallies were over he is on the phone to try and engage Bibi/Israel in some form of dialogue.
Why would he call Israel now? One might think he wishes to tell Bibi something like this... "hey mate, we just had a large shut down of our economy due to protests against Israel being in Gaza". The shutdowns were ofcourse helped along by his own actions which appear to align with his political aspirations evidenced during his Uni days. We can't rule out any influence over our Labor Government by Hamas or Hezbollah can we"
