There is no party brave enough to engage in any serious tax reform around an election.It gives to much ammunition to the opposition party to spin it as a negative.
Albanese may lack courage, but the LibNats prefer the status quo.... Albanese has already suggested that tax will be debated over the election. but you're right, as Howard said "There'll be no GST under a Govt I lead" to constructing the discussion over the next 3 years and running the GST at the very next election. but he had courage. I hope Albanese has similar;ar courage.


They have no interest in tax reform, only buying votes.. you may be right and history shows that you are..... but each Govt must be weighed on their own merits. the Labs have had courage and integrity under Gillard. this mob looks like they may be similar.

just a suggestion: many businesses lauded Gillard for introducing the Carbon Price. many had been calling for such a plan from before Howard opened discussion on his model for a carbon reduction scheme. what do you think of Albanese proposing a better deal than Gillard's?

ps: imo its the many who pay for the few who benefit from tax dodges.
