@Scott th Ratbag - like some Sci-Fi authors have demonstrated in their fairy-tales - mankind will only unite in the face of external danger, like being attacked by aliens.
I would have thought the 'climate crisis' will represent such a danger, but no, - and if we fail to act, we deserve everything we have got coming.
This experiment in 'intelligence' will have resulted in extinction from 'mass stupidity'.
