They realise just how stupid the average voter is, well the election displayed that, but in all seriousness they are manipulating the wording of the referendum questions just enough that the average mug won't be able to decipher the question itself.
Throw in the nefarious rule regarding ticks and crosses and bippidy bippidy boo you have a winner.
I never thought I would use the word smart in the same sentence as Albo.
If the deceitful behaviour displayed by the ALP regarding the referendum or the proposed censorship bill they are slyly pushing though are not a massive red flags for this country I don't know what are!
Most of the country are sitting on their sofas and will simply be saying "what you talking about Willis?".
