There's a simple truth missing from all this debate. Put simply, if a business cannot afford to pay it's workers a living wage then it should not be in business. The low paid workers are being forced to prop up wannabe business owners who don't have a clue and should not be in business. I mean, how many coffee shops does this country need? It's always been the case that at least 80% of small businesses go broke in their first year of operation. But job-keeper has helped to keep a lot of those afloat when really, they had a bad business model that would never have survived in usual conditions.

Fair wages to employees is a cost you can't avoid. If you can't pay your employees a fair wage then get out the business.
