I didn't say there had been a commercial rollout.
If I recall correctly, DARPA got involved with the project in 2020, so it is hard to get information on the progress out of the US Defence machine.
If I had to guess, a new semiconductor device based on a novel material stack that potentially doesn't involve silicon would probably take about 10 years to get to a commercialisation stage. But that would be for use in Defence applications where it gives a unique deployable capability.
Maybe another 5 years on top of that to make it cost effective for consumers.
