There's no such thing as "a cure for cancer", because there are many different cancers which have many difference causes.

You should know however that there are many different treatments for many different cancers, and having a type of cancer that is treatable is no longer the death sentence it was in the past.

But we aren't talking about cancer, we're talking about a device which has been demonstrated to work in the lab. You really can't see the difference between that practical reality and your "cure for cancer" or "aliens arriving" hypotheses?
