To suggest that a person holding multiple properties under the one name is a fool is somewhat churlish. There are many people who hold multiple properties pre CGT and they would not be concerned at all about land tax. The point simply is that with the ever increasing cooperation between the states and Federal Govt accessing data to cross reference is that much easier

Well you are wrong, I own numerous properties in different identities and have never been required to pay land tax.
I doubt whether the State Government has even tried to tie up the ownership details. FACT
