    These farmers and regional communities would be better off looking at towns such as Katanning in WA that has an abbatoir processing hogget and mutton for export directly to the ME. Jibs jobs jobs. That town is thriving, whereas other towns that want live export are dying. Dependent only on a large trucking firm taking live sheep from the farm to the wharf.

    @cowcockie I actually prefer Hogget to lamb, but mutton is very underrated. And being a cowcockie yourself I expect that you have celebrated Albo's reopening of the chilled and frozen beef trade to China.

    I have to sign off now as I am heading back to the farm out in the WA wheatbelt. First decent rain of the season.
