    Sky Newshost James Morrow says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese could not stand up tohis own left flank of government while writing up the Voice to Parliamentreferendum.

    Mr Morrow told Sky News hostCaleb Bond that Mr Albanese was swayed by Indigenous lobbies wanting the “mostmaximalist position on the Voice possible”.

    “People like Megan Davis willalways remind us this has been in the works for years and that is absolutelytrue,” Mr Morrow said.

    “The people behind it, drivingit, if you read the academic papers, if you read the working group notes, arevery invested in the most maximalist version of it possible.

    “When that started to get testedin the real world, people said here’s a problem.”
