Regarding NZ - I'm not sure if these minutes from the 19 December Mid-Central District Health Board have been posted before (large document so search within for Alcidion). Section 5.2 is the relevant bit.
The review of the timeline and budget for the Alcidion Miya Solution has been completed and an application for additional funding is now submitted for the Board’s approval, following FRAC’s consideration. A separate report on this matter is provided.
The detailed report in Section 5.2 is worth a close look as well on pp. 327-332. So it looks projected costs have been underestimated for a variety of reasons outlined in the report....but note the recommendations, especially those I have bolded:
6. RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board:
note the status of the Hospital Operations Centre (MIYA Patient flow) Project currently underway as set out in this paper
note the endorsement of the Executive Leadership Team and Finance, Risk & Audit Committee
approve the allocation of additional CAPEX of $766,692 to enable the successful delivery of the project
So it would seem that despite some teething problems they like the product and are keen to see this to fruition, given the anticipated cost savings in the long-term following scale-up across districts (i.e. ROI).
