It's amazing how the market follows the market. I have already highlighted in detail in previous posts how volumes have dropped off substantially. It's times like this that one can really see that the herd mentality is alive and well. Investors were jumping over themselves buying ALC between 12c and 14c by the bucket load when they did not have nearly as much as what they have now in terms of signed contracts.

You and I are in agreement @possum2 ; I would only append that one must be careful not to catch a falling knife - ie, make sure you have done your research, whether on the co. or the macro environment, to determine whether there is just hysteric selling, or a rerate/etc. (Sorry I only mention this as we are talking about the 'spec' end of the market).
