Alcoa don't operationally own any of the WA alumina assets
Sure they can control the joint venture but it's still pretty profitable and wants energy security
Just because their metal smelters in the US and Victoria are suffering from low metal prices doesn't mean the WA alumina refineries aren't producing flat out for their Japanese and other customers
