A long time ago I worked on the train services through the Channel Tunnel (from the UK end) and we had a dispute with the French railway drivers who demanded a pay rise for eating english food for their lunch break in London. The French driver traditionally had wine with their lunch and we said that we would breathalyse them at the French/UK border in the middle of the tunnel. The French drivers dropped their claim and agreed to not drinking wine with their lunches.
