this is just a brief shout out to tweetie and zog to thank them from passing on those broker reports. After all, it doesn't matter whether or not we believe them, as long as someone does!
Thanks also to zog for pushing this question of capital raisings; I went off and read the SLR thread, which was quite educational, as zog's quote from there was in the context of a raising with which shareholders appeared pleased.
ALD's price, as I'm sure you've all seen, has held up quite well, trending sideways at the moment but at least attracting some volume after the sullen refusal of buyers to be interested in the last month or so. Given that the FTSE has been abysmal and gold has been flatt-ish in the recent past, I see that as really quite a good performance.
I still like ALD because- lo and behold- it actually produces (as opposed to "only" being an explorer), and it will be interesting to see how long it takes for the upside in production and exploration to happen. That, I suspect, is why most of us are here
