It seems to me, as a layman, that ald's drilling results are broadly similar to those of avo. In fact ald's are somewhat shallower, which is presumably preferable.
Although avo have over $4m in cash against very little for ald, avo have over 100m shares on issue, about 50% more than ald.
Why then is avo's share price some 40% higher than ald's? Is this apparent anomoly explained by ald's ground being in png?
Given the above, very simple, analysis I would expect ald's price to be 10% or so higher than avo (mainly due to the difference in shares on issue).
I don't hold avo or ald but am considering both.
