    Food for thought!
Why would a food supermarket sell ski gear or sell refrigerators if it wasn't as a loss leader and to try and get more customers through the door but also to blow others out of the water!

One would hope that in this post covid world we could actually try and have a little bit of fairness; while having a deregulated market but having a little bit of fairness for the independent retailer.

And why should newsagents be allowed to sell drinks and chocolates etc?? maybe I'm old fashioned but I just think things have gone too far.

Once upon a time there would have been Rules against selling pesticides and insecticides in a food supermarket also ..... they are not stupid ideas to separate them, and perhaps after coronavirus some of these things might be looked at again... I am not saying it is like a virus, but some of the chemicals these days are very potent, and spillages or even small quantities of contamination could cause considerable health issues
