I must have read Brave New World about twenty years ago, but recently I read 'Brave New Word - Revisited' by Aldous Huxley. I got it at The Book Grocer in Melbourne for about $6. He wrote it in 1958, and in it there are a series of chapters where he revisits the themes in the original book:
Overpopulation Quantity, Quality, Morality Over-organization Propoganda in a Democtratic Society Propoganda under a Dictatorship The Atrs of Selling Brainwashing Chemical Persuasion Subconscious Persuasion Hypopaedia Education for Freedom What Can Be Done?
This book reads as current literature - very pertinent for current times. I thoroughly recommend it, even if you haven't read the original.
I suspect that 1984, Animal Farm and Brave New World are no longer in the school curriculum!
