To have Monash news the days after the ALDP letter does not bode well as management would indirectly confirm to the market that they received the letter, hence sacrificing confidentiality and weakening negotiating position with ALDP representatives for funding details during the next 3 months. They might also be in breach with ALDP regulations in letting the market know indirectly.
