The fleeting support for CCS projects actually make coldry plants more likely as the diversification towards cleaner technologies narrows down.

View it as one competitor less.



The last 2 years had seen large amounts of money channelled towards CCS projects, this money is now freed to go elsewhere, mostly towards technologies which allow retrofitting existing plants to add coldry to their mix and the technology which allows finally exporting the resource.

That, in my humble opinion, is what both parties will look forward to achieve, to raise the royalties for the state government.
