For anyone who wishes to interpret this as gospel IT IS NOT. It is my expectation and has been my expectation for months.


In my books the ALDP-ESI-path to construction letters timeline has always been:

Early - Mid October:
Esi gets told in writing from the ALDP decision makers that they are successful IF:
a) Words outlining the series of construction conditions realting to money being offered
b) series of agreements required to being entered into by ESI which when met will trigger for tranches of monies to be supplied by the ALDP to ESI along the path to COLDRY commercialisation plant.
c) That the above is conditional to ESIs favourable reception of the above and then upon ESI replying to that effect in wirting a letter of acceptance of the above terms.

THEN ALDP will write ESI a letter stating that they have reciveed their letter and will be formally initiating a contract with ESI for the supply of above condition and money in writing.

THEN there will be some formal Simon Crean style scenario announcing a new Carbon Reduction policy in Victoria - carrots of reduced electricity bills will be waved (probably on a media presentation scale only). In order to move under the radar of the Green/Anti-Abbott-agenda-parties it will be stealthily related to the carbon reduction program that the LIBERAL party and you will only see the devilish brown coal factors in the detail.

If everything dies down and there is no backlash:

THEN if all of those hurdles are jumped successfully in February we will see the first amount of money
given to ONLY the successful candidates who ALSO accepted the terms and conditions and timelines of the ALDP program.

AND if ESI is one of them, we will see some action.

SO FOR NOW: Even if we have received our letter from the ALDP saying hat we have been successful in getting through to being presented an offer if is important to note that that is all it is.
We then have to reply in favour etc...

So what do you think that ESI can announce right now?

I think that if we have received the letter we could only say that 'The ALDP has been in communication with ESI and would like to confirm that ESI has not been unsuccessful with its application to the ALDP Grants program. And at this stage ESI is in the throws of replying favourably to the letter at which stage we hope to receive confrimation from the ALDP program stating that we have been added to the final and complete list of ALDP grant recipienets.
From there, if successful, ESI will announce more to the market'.

And the starting pistol, for the share price rise, will be up to the market.
What will it be? What will pull the trigger?
I expect that once the market has decided we will know it in a big way.
