Today I think there is a possibility we will be informed that during caretaker mode the DPI ( FEDS) are a non represented headless chook with no mandate to announce govt directives, no matter what polava we read about their autonomy to act in relation to and with,, the state unsaturated pollies.
I imagine many DPI departmental EL2's and above had their hands slapped by their dept head this week.
I dare say Tony Arup picked his moment well too :)
