Rooftop solar will eclipse coal-fired power in 2024 (copyright link)
I think the market is starting to realise how much of an impact rooftop solar is going to negatively impact marginal pricing. This is only starting, the critical 'turn over level' has occurred and the effects are just going to be magnified over the next several years.
For myself, patience, no need to enter now. There is a time for everything in investing, and now is the time to be patient and sit on the sidelines. Let the turmoil play itself out, with negative earnings growth for several years out, there is no need to enter a position now.
AGL has been one of the easier value traps to avoid as a value based investor.
