Actually this impairment is fantastic news for those who can see the forest instead of the trees.
1.Claim loss for stupid action taken earlier.
2.Tax payer pays for it.
3.$50-80M more profit next year.
Also, the solar panels work so well at night it is going to bankrupt AGL. Let me find a big floodlight to shine on my panels. Let me also find a big industrial fan to blow at my windmill on steamy summer nights.
