re: alert watch ... waiting patiently ... amory can see where none of you guys are silly or inexperienced & there is no point lecturing.
but looking at the chart for the last several weeks, it would have required exquisite timing to get any benefit from RIO PUTS. myself, had a Call but sold it too early & not chasing it.
very soon, perhaps even today after overnite strength overseas, RIO will go into overbought. so far, it hasn't done that believe it or not.
even then, amory will bide his time. he would rather miss out on the first 50 cents of fall & then short them with some safety, than sit there like a dummy & watch them go to 40 bucks.
the alternative is to buy a straddle, but at this point I'd rather wait & see. this market if it goes with the Dow, is about to overheat like mad. but not for too long.
