Our client, Brockman Resources Ltd. is currently developing the 100% owned Marillana Iron Ore Project located approximately 100km north-west of Newman. The company has a total mineral resource of 1.6 billion tonnes of iron ore. The company is currently conducting a Pre-feasibility study on a 15-25mtpa iron ore project, scheduled for production in 2012.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful applicant will be a self-motivated professional with a relevant tertiary qualification in Metallurgy and/or Process Engineering together with a minimum of 10 years experience in a position of appropriate seniority, preferably with a company involved in medium to large scale iron ore mining and processing. Previous experience contributing to the management of a project from study phases through to commissioning and production is a prerequisite. The role involves being an integral part of the Project owners team, working alongside various consultants and engineers involved in the design and construction process. You will directly manage this team on behalf of the company, particularly in relation to metallurgical testing and process design, ensuring the design and construction of an efficient processing and production facility. Other duties involve the negotiation of statutory approvals, supply contracts, recruitment and training of personnel, staff management, capital/operating budgets and the general management of all aspects of the production and maintenance departments.
