Despite the Federal Court finding in favour of Novak and awarding costs, Alex Hawke, Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs has indicated he will exercise his personal power to remove him from Australia ASAP. Once this goes ahead Djokovic will be excluded from the country for a period of 3 years. Is this a reasonable use of power? As Justice Kelly alluded to during proceedings, this matter affects Djokovic's reputation AND earning capacity. If he has been economically harmed by the Federal Government, could he be awarded more costs?
