This war has nothing to do and has never had anything to do with the release of hostages, dead or alive, imo. Forget Gilad Shalit and many others in the past who were fought for and then exchanged for many jailed Palestinians.
Netanyahu has a very different approach - the release of hostages is being used only as a pretext for continuation of the war. All you need to do is to listen to what he says and DOES to figure this out.
