I don't know the exact start date when Gavin became chairman of D13, but the media were reporting him being the future incoming Chairman in September. Back then, the share price was 90c, and rose to over $1 in October. Since then, shareholder value has halved.

If this was Gavin's job to prevent and eventually fix, he's failed miserably.

I know that if I were overpaid as a full timer, but only worked part time, and also underperformed, I'd be no longer employed and I'd be enjoying a lot of time off.

Gavin works two jobs, but also seems to get a lot of time to do his recreational pursuits:

Skiing in Whistler in December
Sailing the Caribbean in December/January
Hiking in Aspen in January
Skiing in BC in February
In the snow by the Matterhorn in March
Skiing in Italy in April.

As a shareholder, I expect Gavin to do whatever hours he has to do to succeed in the role. I don't see Nick taking holidays like this.

Does this sound like someone who is putting in the hours? Not to me.
Does this sound like someone who is succeeding in the role? Not to me.
Does this sound like someone who should be spared the tough, pointed and potentially embarrassing questions by shareholders at the AGM? Not to me.

Bring on the spill. How will that look on the CV, Gavin?

Those instagram photos look great and I wish I had time to get around and have those kind of holidays, but what popped into my mind when I looked at them is not the fact that GR should be working harder for AJX but rather maybe he is so confident in its future that he can be so relaxed enough to go and have fun and not worry about AJX. Let's not forget he holds 20 mil shares so if he can pull this off, he'll be laughing right!?
